Royal Navy Marriage Certificates (1806-1866)
In response to Admiralty orders, many original certificates and certified entries, together with covering letters, were sent from all parts of the world to ensure that widows' claims could be verified when the need arose. The Admiralty's own index is reproduced in this publication.
Format
Files on CD are Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (.PDF)
which supports searching and printing as well as many options for
navigation. Acrobat Reader software may
be downloaded from adobe.com.
The PDF files are also compatible with Apple MAC and UNIX if you already
have the Reader software or download it.
